NO SHORTCUTS. NO EXCUSES.
I'm Tom, founder of Heavy Start Fitness. Fitness has always been about more than lifting weights for me. It's about building healthier habits, developing confidence, becoming stronger, and creating a lifestyle you can actually maintain.I'm Tom, founder of Heavy Start Fitness.
Coaching became my passion because I genuinely enjoy helping people discover what they're capable of. Whether you're brand new to fitness, getting back into training, or looking to take your current fitness to the next level, my goal is to meet you where you are and help you move forward. I don't believe you need to be perfect to make progress. You don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. You simply need to be willing to start, stay consistent, and keep moving forward. That's the philosophy behind Heavy Start Fitness. I work with people who want to develop healthier habits, greater strength, better fitness, and a stronger mindset. Training isn't about punishing yourself or chasing someone else's definition of success. It's about becoming a stronger version of you. My approach is built around three things: Train with purpose. Build sustainable habits. Stay focused on the bigger picture. Because where you start doesn't determine where you end up. Your focus does. Heavy Start Fitness It doesn't matter where you start. What matters is that you start. Your Focus Determines Your Reality. 💪BUILT IN THE GYM. PROVEN IN THE FIELD.
CERTIFIED. EXPERIENCED. ACCOUNTABLE.
HOW I COACH.
Honest Assessment
We start with where you actually are — not where you wish you were. No flattery, no false starts. Just a clear picture and a real plan.
Progressive Overload
Every session builds on the last. The body adapts to stress — so we keep raising the bar, systematically and safely, until the goal is behind you.
Lifestyle Integration
A program you can't sustain is a program that doesn't work. Everything I build fits your schedule, your stress load, and your life.
Full Accountability
I show up for every session the same way I expect you to. You'll never wonder if your coach is invested — because the results will make it obvious.
WHAT COMMITMENT LOOKS LIKE.
Came in post-divorce, hadn't trained in 8 years. Left with a sub-200 lb body weight and a 315 lb deadlift.
Started with zero barbell experience. Competed 14 months later and hit a 185 lb squat on the platform.
12-week corporate wellness program. Team energy scores up, sick days down, and three employees continued 1-on-1 training.
